If you’re someone who takes business trips on a regular basis, you may feel like you’re missing out on some quality travel time. At our Newark Airport parking company, we can help you turn your business trip into more of a vacation, with these tips:
Do something touristy.
If you’re headed to a major city like Boston or San Francisco, take some time to do something touristy. Hit the Freedom Walk in Boston and discover an array of historical landmarks or head to Golden Gate park for a gorgeous view of San Francisco’s iconic bridge. When you do something a sightseer would do, you’ll help make your trip seem more like a vacation.
Work somewhere scenic.
While on a business trip, you probably take along a lap top and do a lot of work from your hotel room. Mix it up a little bit and take your work somewhere scenic. You’ll not only still be able to get things done, but you’ll be able to enjoy your surroundings like someone who’s relaxing on a week-long getaway.
Choose a bed and breakfast.
Big chain hotels are geared toward the business traveler, which means you’ll probably feel like one every time you wake up and go to bed. If you have a choice in lodging, opt for a bed and breakfast or quaint hotel that is more likely to feel like a home away from home. You’ll not only be attended to more, you’ll also have a better chance of finding all the best local spots by striking up a friendly conversation with the concierge or other staff members.
Take a few more days.
If you have some vacation time to spare and you’re heading somewhere interesting for business, take a couple days off after the business trip and stay in the area. You’ll have time to do all the things you wanted to while you were working and the best part is, you didn’t even have to plan the trip there!
Prep early.
Before you set off on your business trip, try to get as much prep work done as possible. This way, you’ll be ready to go and will have extra time to do some fun things like visit a museum, head to a trendy restaurant, or just relax in a beautiful setting.
