If you work for a company that has connections in other cities, states, or countries, you may be the person they turn to to meet other people one-on-one. If so, you probably spend a lot of time on airlines. At our EWR Airport parking company, we looked into some of the best domestic airlines that can make business travel easier.
Southwest Airlines
Southwest Airlines has been named one of the best customer service airlines in the country, and that can be pretty important when it comes to business travel. While many other airlines charge a hefty fee (usually around $200) to cancel your flight, Southwest lets you cancel for free up to 10 minutes before departure. This means if you have a postponed meeting, you can easily reschedule your flight.
Delta Airlines
When you’re traveling for business, being on time is important. Delta Airlines is a top contender for on-time flights and a low number of cancellations. They also offer lounges, easy-to-access wifi (including in-flight wifi), frequent flights out of popular business hubs, and quilted business class seats on their planes. In addition, Delta has a frequent flyer program specifically for business travelers.
JetBlue
If you’re a business traveler who often flies on transcontinental routes, JetBlue is a great airline to choose. In 2014, the airline rolled out their coast-to-coast “Mint” program that offers “top-notch service” as well as fully-flat seats, an array of dining options, and customized amenities that are male- and female-specific. You’ll also get early boarding, expedited screening processes, and preferred baggage claim.
Virgin America
Based on the West Coast, Virgin America is great for companies in this area. The airline’s Elevate loyalty program offers 2% to 4% back on flight bookings, a “no black-out dates” policy, and an on-demand food, drink, and entertainment program. Fly first class and you’ll also enjoy full-sized plush pillows and duvets. And with Virgin’s expanding in-flight satellite wifi (with speeds up to 10 times faster than other airlines), we’re sure the airline will grow in popularity.
